Aromatase Inhibitors are drugs that block the enzyme aromatase. The aromatase enzyme converts androgens into estrogen.

Arimidex General Info

Arimidex is the first oral aromatase inhibitor from the newest third-generation aromatase inhibitors group. Arimidex is a selective aromatase inhibitor with a non-steroidal structure. FDA approves
Arimidex as a new adjunct treatment for operable breast cancer in postmenopausal females. A large clinical trial involving over 9366 postmenopausal women following breast cancer surgery showed that Arimidex was more successful than Nolvadex at promoting disease regression.

Male athletes and bodybuilders use Arimidex to prevent estrogenic side effects such as gynecomastia, water retention, fat build-up. Multiple trials showed that Arimidex is much more potent and effective than Nolvadex or Proviron at controlling estrogen levels.
Please note
Some compounds do not convert to estrogen however have a high level of estrogenic activity. An excellent example of such compound is Oxymetholone. Anti-aromatase compounds Arimidex, Femara, or Aromasin, will not be effective. To avoid the estrogenic side effects, we recommend using anti-estrogens such as Nolvadex and Clomid.

Recommended dosage range 0.5-1 mg/day
Male athletes and bodybuilders usually take 0.5 to 1 mg/day. In some cases, the 0.5 mg/day dosage every other day (EOD) is sufficient to prevent estrogenic side effects.

Arimidex is a potent aromatase inhibitor. Clinical trials showed that 1mg/day of Arimidex lowered estrogen production by 80% in some patients.Arimidex dosages are user unique. Possible Side Effects

In many instances, 0.5 mg EOD is sufficient to prevent the possible estrogenic side effects, and higher Arimidex dosages could lead to a so-called "steroid lethargy."
