Anavar (oxandrolone)

Anavar is one of the brand names for the chemical called oxandrolone, which is an oral steroid first produced in 1964. It was initially manufactured as a stimulant for children’s growth and a drug for treatment of various diseases, but eventually Anavar became extremely popular among athletes. 

The drug’s complete lack of any side effects and its low androgenic activity (making oxandrolone a favorite among female athletes) with great effectiveness are the reasons for such popularity. 

Back in the medical field, doctors became wary of using oxandrolone for treatment of various diseases due to steroids gaining quite a bit of a negative reputation back in the 1980’s. The drug’s manufacturing became unprofitable, so the pharmaceutical company Searl stopped Anavar’s production. This wasn’t for long, though - BTG has recently bought out the rights for the drug’s production as a substance for treating HIV-induced slim disease. This led to Anavar becoming wide-spread again. 

Description

Anavar is produced for oral consumption only. This anabolic-androgenic steroid is extremely mild due to it being initially manufactured for treating various kinds of medical patients, including children. 

Oxandrolone’d been used in medical treatment - scientific research shows that Anavar greatly helps in rapid recovery of burn victims, patients suffering from HIV-induced slim disease, persistent infections and postoperative weight loss. 

Studies have proved significant benefit of using oxandrolone compared to the control group (whether it was the placebo effect or not) after taking into account the reduced weight and nitrogen loss, rapid healing of skin grafting areas.

Anavar is very safe to use (especially when you consider all the benefits) if proper drug cycle routine and PCT are followed strictly. The recommended dosage for great results in men is 25-50 mg. Some expert athletes use the drug at about 50-100 mg per day, but the majority of regular bodybuilders keep to the standard dosage of 25-50 mg. Exceeded dosages call for certain preventive measures despite oxandrolone being a mild and safe anabolic drug. 

The dosage of 5 mg per day is usually enough for women to get significant results. It can be increased up to 15 mg, but then users have to keep in mind possible androgenic side effects and their prevention.

For a long time Anavar has been (and still is) one of the favorite anabolic drugs among female athletes due to its effectiveness and low androgenic activity. Unlike other steroids, oxandrolone doesn’t produce excess hair growth, rougher voice and other masculinization effects thanks to the androgenic activity.
