Apoxar Dutasteride Guide
- Formulation: Dutasteride 0.5mg per tablet
- Packaging: 30 tablets per unit
Dutasteride, classified as a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, is a classic anti-DHT compound. The primary use reason is prevention of hair loss and prostatic enlargement on a steroid cycle.
As a second-generation inhibitor, Apoxar Dutasteride blocks the 5-alpha reductase enzyme, mitigating DHT conversion in prostate and hair follicles.
Dutasteride Effects
Clinical Implications include:
- Mitigation of hair loss and thinning;
- Absence of oily skin complications;
- Minimization of severe acne development;
- Decreased likelihood of prostate enlargement;
- Significant diminution of prostate cancer risk.
Dutasteride Sides
Dutasteride, whilst FDA-approved and frequently utilized off-label, does exhibit rare potential side effects:

- Augmented hair growth.
Dutasteride is needed during periods of elevated testosterone levels (meaning on cycle).
The recommended dose is 0.5mg daily for 3 to 6 months or less.
Contraindications
Dutasteride, while beneficial for certain conditions, has some contraindications. Most notably:
- People with significant liver dysfunction might require special consideration, as Dutasteride is extensively metabolized in the liver;
- Anyone with a hypersensitivity to Dutasteride or any of its ingredients should abstain from using it;
- Pediatric Population: Dutasteride is not typically recommended for use in teenagers and children with underdeveloped hormonal systems;
- Exercise caution in using Dutasteride if you have a history of cardiovascular disease.
Missed a Dutasteride Dose?
If the time for the next scheduled dose is near, the missed dose should be skipped, and the regular dosing schedule resumed. Double dosing to make up for a missed dose is not recommended.
