Details
Metocin, or 4-HO-MET (4-Hydroxy-N-methyl-N-ethyltryptamine), is a synthetic psychedelic substance of the tryptamine class. It is chemically similar to psilocin, the active metabolite in magic mushrooms. However, 4-HO-MET is synthesized in a lab.
The effects are similar to psilocybin, including visual hallucinations, enhanced colors, emotional intensification, and alterations in perception of time and space. However, most people report that 4-HO-MET tends to induce a more euphoric and less introspective or philosophical state compared to psilocybin.
It's also often described as having a lighter mental load, with fewer challenging or negative experiences.
